A driveway is only as good as what is underneath it. Most of the sunken, rutted drives we get called to replace failed because the sub-base was too thin, not because the surface was wrong. We dig out properly, compact in layers and get the falls right.

Proper build-up
Excavate to depth, lay and compact MOT Type 1 in layers, then screed and lay. Edge restraints are haunched in concrete, because block paving without a solid edge spreads and drops within a couple of years.
Drainage and permeability
Front drives that drain to the road usually need planning permission unless the surface is permeable or the water is directed to a soakaway or border. We design in drainage from the start.
Recent work
We recently completed an extended driveway in Henley-in-Arden — a straightforward transformation that changed the whole frontage of the property.
